There are people that know the truth but stay silent & there are those that speak the truth but nobody hears them because they’re the minority…
I wanted to touch the subject of standing by the truth even if you are standing alone. It is quite obvious that free thinking and non-conformity is frowned upon in today’s modern culture. Anybody who wanders outside the boundaries of society is immediately exiled by the masses and misunderstood by their friends and family.
“The high-minded man must care more for the truth than for what people think.”
We live in a fear-driven society, and are divided by our race, culture, class, age, sex, etc… Instead of honoring the individual we are pinned against each other constantly competing. Children are constantly being taught what to think instead of how to think. We are told to hear no evil, see no evil, and say no evil. We fear authority and we fear those in power. We hand over our own lives and our children’s lives just for the false security and comforts that the government provides in the form of DEBT… So let’s see more debt… that means more money for them, which equals to more power; and renders YOU even more powerless.
Fear is a prison.
There is no freedom in prison and therefore no happiness.
If you are ever to put fear behind you, you must walk straight through it & leave it behind. Remember, fear doesn’t exist; it’s all in your head!!! Don’t allow it to occupy space when you can be chasing your dreams.
The reward for conformity is that everyone likes you except yourself.
The man who walks alone is likely to find himself in places no one has ever been, and that in itself is the best reward one can ask for.
Intelligence is sexy, don’t play stupid. Too many people undervalue what they are & overvalue what they are not. Life begins at the end of our comfort zones.
As Eleanor Roosevelt once said:
“Do what you feel in your heart to be right, for you’ll be criticized anyway.“
Do not be fearful of challenging your own beliefs, it can lead to great enlightenment.
Think for a moment, if you were born in a different region of the world and your guardians taught you different beliefs would you still hold the same beliefs you do today? Most likely not, so wouldn’t that mean your beliefs are largely based on your region and upbringing? Sometimes in the ‘school of life’ it is not only important to continue learning, but to unlearn that which does not agree with you anymore. Go within.
Here is a video with a prime example of what I am talking about. In “A Bug’s Life” there is some serious subliminal messaging going on here… See for yourself. Do you have a voice? Do you feel that culture has desensitized the individual from their true potentials? Please share your thoughts below.
